Privacy policy

How HTG Property Group handles personal information.

HTG Property Group ("we") is a property management business based in Winchester, England. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our services, and how we use it. You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@htgpropertygroup.com or on 01425 203055.

What we collect

When you use our contact form or get in touch, we collect the details you give us: typically your name, email address, phone number, the property address and the content of your message. If you become a client or a tenant, we collect the further information needed to set up and manage a tenancy, such as identity, referencing and payment details.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to enquiries, provide rental appraisals, market and manage property, meet our legal obligations as a letting and management business (for example deposit protection and right to rent checks), and keep proper business records. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

Where the service requires it, information is shared with referencing and credit check providers, government approved deposit protection schemes, contractors carrying out work at a property, and our own professional advisers. Each of these handles your data under their own privacy obligations.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry. Tenancy and client records are kept for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for as long as the law and our regulatory obligations require.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and in some circumstances ask us to delete it or limit how it is used. To do any of these, email us. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
